Water is the most vital aspect of life. Paradigm's unique algorithm is able to detect subsurface soil moisture utilizing satellites orbiting the Earth. Through this technology, utilities are able to quickly address hidden leaks with a targeted approach to reduce water loss.
Our Story
Paradigm was founded in San Antonio, Texas by Marshall Elliott. Marshall has a background in water loss tracking and work directly related to leak detection. He realized how large of an issue water loss was for many water utility companies and began to research how satellite technology could help in reducing water loss. Synthetic aperture radar was found to be the best application for finding hidden leaks in the water distribution system. Paradigm uses a unique algorithm to assess the differences in soil properties over an extended period of time. Satellite targeted areas of interest are provided to boots on the ground teams to perform acoustic investigations utilizing ground microphones and correlators. After the leak has been identified by leak detection teams, construction crews are made aware and repair the asset.
